Who We Are - Cathy Lewis
is a certified elementary teacher
with expertise in special education and technology integration.
She earned undergraduate degrees from Carleton University and her Education degree and MBA from the University of Ottawa.
For three years, she led the Technology Integration programming
at the Ottawa Public School Board. She trained and supported
seconded teachers to help them teach other educators how to
use technology as a teaching and learning tool in their school
and classroom. Cathy has worked with various technology
companies ranging from the use of PDAs in education, curriculum
projects for Microsoft, teacher training with Nortel Networks,
content design and project management for Nortel Networks Kidz
Online.
As the Director of Education for Nortel LearniT, Cathy led
the design and delivery of face-to-face and online professional
development on technology integration for educators.
Cathy has volunteered in the public school system and in the community for over 15 years, ranging from breakfast and
reading programs, coaching soccer to working with behavioural students.
